I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you bring forth the wisdom of the buddha from your every single thought; because you can penetrate the Buddha-Dharma from the sound you hear; because your every single behaviour is full of the merits and virtues of the buddhas.

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you always contemplate the offence of birth and death, the merits and virtues of nirvana. The earth and excrement under your feet should be respected and bowed at.

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because of you, we can attain benefits immediately, free from working hard for a very long period.

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you have precisely translated the classical sutra at ease and manifested the meaning and states of the Buddha-Dharma which are the best and perfect, appeal to both refined and popular taste.

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you have used subtle and precise skillful means to induce and encourage me to enjoy keeping pure precepts.

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you have removed my fear and obstacles when I go forward. As long as we are willing to make a little effort, you will try your best to make us improve.

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you have pointed out our servility, saying there is nothing that you can do or cannot do. The key point is whether you want to do it or not. If you really go to do it, whatever you do, you can succeed in finishing it.”

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you have led us to generate the mind of gratitude, saying “If you are grateful for your job, you will not feel meaningless; if you are grateful to people, you will not feel bored; if you are full of gratitude to everybody or for everything, wherever you are, you are the brightest one.”

I praise you endlessly, our Kind Mentor, because you have taught us the benefits of reciting English classical sutra, saying “There are buddhas and bodhisattvas in the Buddha-Dharma, their vows and aid, which can increase your merits and virtues, enhance your affinities with the buddhas and bodhisattvas and let you achieve English as well.”

I praise you and grateful to you, our Kind Mentor, for your keeping a careful eye on us at all times, for your splendid warmth in accompanying us as we grow, for letting us, in our cluttered and troubled hearts, build the true faith and refuge which lay the foundation for our future transformation and achievements.
