Sincerity
You all say since the buddhas are not in this world, how can we plant good roots of Causes and Conditions in their presence? Actually, the buddhas are all in the world by the form which is very hard for all of you to recognize. If we really keep the most faithful and sincerest heart to the buddhas, we can accomplish the wonderful merits and virtues. You think the sincerity to the buddhas needs surrendering to a lot of regulations, but in fact it’s not the case. Sometimes what you do with sincere mind seems wrong, but this kind of mind is supreme. Remember: if you keep loyal to the buddhas, what you do, right or wrong, will help you to establish the excellent merits and virtues. If you keep the loyalty, all of these can be built up.
Praise our mentor
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you have kept your eye on us all the time, created conditions in due time, provided the information which can let us understand afflictions and strengthen our confidence and impulses to subdue them.
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you have no any arrogance, overcome hardness with softness and follow us in ease although we are often self-important and swagger around in your presence.
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you, like a compassionate mother, have taken pity on us who still can’t subdue afflictions in a short time and have exhaustively been seeking a little safer food for our bodies, just hoping that we can be less poisoned and much safer. When I take all of these for granted, I ask myself “Except you, is there anyone else who can be so kind? Is there anyone for whom I can do like you?”
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you can’t stand, we experience sufferings for one more minute and accept us forever, taking us as treasures and thinking it good if we are willing to came back.
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because all of my enlightenment and inspiration is attributed to your transcendent power.
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you have established good causes and conditions with sentient beings through various skillful means in order to cause them to enter the buddhas’ wisdom and ultimately become a Buddha.
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you have displayed the Wisdom of Cause and Effect spontaneously, “We will become what we say about others, we will become what we see from others and we will become what we think about others.”
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you are not panic about things, keep yourself in order when things come up. Although you are living in this world, you are not attached to it and completely at ease.
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you were born from the Dharma and have expounded it according to various occasions and what is appropriate to us just like the Buddha, which has been close to us, moved us, protected and nourished us quietly.
I praise you endlessly, our mentor, because you have become the unity with the Dharma. All of your manifestation and essential teachings are the classics which are unique and without any transcendence.
I praise you and entreat you to dwell in this world forever. May the Buddha dharma exist forever and sentient beings take refuge with the Buddha and be led by him. May they recollect our mentor’s kindness forever.
