The lecture “Dharma Talk: The Law of Cause and Effect” by Master Bennie, provided by the Australian Buddhist Practice Association, deeply explores the law of cause and effect (karma) in Buddhism. The lecture emphasizes that understanding cause and effect is key to achieving peace and freedom from affliction. Accordingly, every action, word, and thought of a person are seeds that will bear corresponding fruit in the future. The three main laws presented are: seeds and fruits are identical, sowing one seed will yield countless fruits, and sowing now will yield later. The lecture also explains how to cultivate merit and wisdom through giving and learning the Dharma to achieve perfection and ultimately attain Buddhahood.
