A Kind Mentor –7

The Avatamsaka Sutra states:
The teachings of a Kind Mentor are like the spring sun, nurturing the roots and sprouts of all virtuous deeds; like the full moon, bringing coolness and calm to all it illuminates; like a snow-capped mountain in summer, quenching the heat and thirst of all beings; like the sun over a fragrant pond, opening the lotus flowers of virtuous hearts; like a great treasure island, filling the mind with manifold jewels of the Dharma; like the Jambu tree, amassing the flowers and fruits of merit and wisdom; like a great dragon king, roaming freely in the vast sky; like Mount Sumeru, abounding with boundless virtuous teachings, where the gods of the thirty-three heavens reside; like the heavenly king Indra, surrounded by assemblies, unrivaled in radiance, subduing misguided paths and the armies of asuras.
The teachings of a Kind Mentor are like a gentle spring sun, softly warming the heart, awakening the seeds of virtue to break through the soil and bloom with the green shoots of wisdom and compassion. Their guidance is like the full moon in the sky, its clear light spreading far and wide, bringing coolness and serenity to soothe the restlessness and unease of all beings. Their instructions are like a snow-capped mountain in summer, standing tall amidst the heat, offering clear springs to quench the thirst and cool the afflictions of suffering beings, restoring peace to the heart.
The teachings of a Kind Mentor are like the radiant sun over a lotus pond, warm and bright, inspiring the virtuous thoughts of beings, allowing pure lotus flowers to blossom in the lake of the mind. Their Dharma is like a great treasure island, where every word and every guidance is a priceless jewel, filling our hearts and ensuring abundance on the path of practice. Their wisdom is like the Jambu tree, deep-rooted and flourishing, bearing the flowers and fruits of merit and wisdom to nourish the journey of all beings. Their presence is like a great dragon king, soaring freely through the vast sky, manifesting the boundless wonders of the Dharma; their teachings are like the majestic Mount Sumeru, rich with limitless virtuous teachings, a sacred abode where the gods of the thirty-three heavens dwell, steadfast and sublime.
Most awe-inspiring, the teachings of a Kind Mentor are like the heavenly king Indra, seated at the center of the assembly, radiating unmatched brilliance, guarding all beings on the true path.
