Corruption

What does corruption mean? It means that corruption is a kind of pollution, a kind of filth, but now it is defined as corruption of public goods. In fact, in ancient times, corruption was defined as dirt, which is a general term. Nowadays it is not defined in a general way, it is defined as corruption at a certain point.

Then we should know that all such greed is a defilement. Not just greed, but also greed, hatred, delusion, arrogance, doubt and ignorance, all of which are defilements. Look at all these defilements (greed, hatred, delusion, arrogance and doubt), which one of them is not like a prison? When a person is in the prison of greed, he cannot even get out of it. When one is in the prison of hatred, one wants to change one’s mood, to be happy, but one cannot be happy. He is locked in the prison of hatred. It is easy to get in but difficult to get out. It is very easy to get in, but it is very difficult to get out of that prison, and one is not at ease there. How many people in prison are at ease? One is not at ease in the prison of greed.

Many people say, “No. For example, if I am a glutton, I am eating, why am I not comfortable? I’m very comfortable.” You are actually saying that your feeling at ease, but you are not at ease as a person. Let us now make an analogy to illustrate this.

We have all heard of many diseases in this world, and one of them is obesity, which means that the person’s digestive system is so good that anything he eats is enough to make him obese. Not only will he suffer from obesity, but he is also aware of the many diseases that can be caused by obesity. But he cannot control himself, he has to be greedy, he has to be greedy, he has to be greedy. When he is greedy, he thinks, “I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine. But he does not know that he is trapped in the prison of greed and cannot get out. What will be the result of greed in the end? He will soon die.

Let’s talk about people who take drugs. When they are greedy, they think, “I’m pretty good and comfortable. How can you say that greed is like prison?” But when we say that he is covetous, it is not possible not to be covetous; he must be covetous, and that is like a prison.

Then we should know that greed, hatred, delusion, and doubt are all like prisons. and once we enter them, it is very difficult to get out. We should not put ourselves in these prisons.
