Teachings of the Mentor

Straightness and softness

We must be straight, your whole nature, your quality is straight, and in our daily life we must speak softly. That is to say, we must not speak in a horizontal, hard, sharp or harsh way, but in a soft way.

People say, “When I speak, my voice is so loud! I’m so angry! I’m so hard! I can’t change.” That is a form of karma, your form of karma. But you can’t say that you can indulge yourself because we forgive you for the form of your karma in this period of your life. Because if you don’t change, you will never be in tune with the Dharma, you will never be good. If you are capable of doing so, and you are always so angry, so sharp, so prickly, so angular, so cold and so hard, you will damage the image of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva. There is no such bodhisattva, no such Buddha – a cold, hard, sharp, spiky one. How can there be such a Buddha? How can there be such a Bodhisattva? What kind of Buddha is this? The Buddha and the Bodhisattva are infinitely compassionate, infinitely soft, and so it is important to speak softly.

I confess my sins and sorrows in all times and places, and I confess them on behalf of all sentient beings, who often speak loudly, with a strong voice, and is horizontal, hard, spiky, angular, cold and hard, damaging the image of the self and the image of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva.

I vow that all sentient beings will be like the teacher, like the Buddha, with straight and soft words, infinite compassion and infinite gentleness. With great joy and confidence, great courage and diligence, not chaotic and single-minded, and become a part of oneself and generate wisdom. Ingeniously fit the foundation of all sentient beings. The perfection of Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Giving boundlessly, rescue and protect all sentient beings actively.

Praises of the Mentor

(The Buddha and Bodhisattva in my heart)

You are the Buddha in my heart,

As the Buddha of great compassion, pulling up sentient beings ;

You are the Manjushri Bodhisattva in my heart,

Willing to be a victim, giving karma to all ;

You are the Samantabhadra Bodhisattva in my heart,

Always leading and guiding us at all times ;

You are the Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva in my heart,

Feeling in your heart, the need is there;

You are the Earth Store Bodhisattva in my heart,

Do everything you can to fulfill everyone’s wishes;

You are the Great Physician in my heart,

We rely on you to heal us sickness and pain.

I am deeply grateful to you for all that you have done.

I admire all that you are.

I rejoice in all that you do.

I praise you for what you do everything.

I vow to do all that you do.

All manifestations and no manifestations.

All the merits of consummation.
