The Delusional Series: Part 10 –17 Inner Journey 2

Such kind of living beings are occupied by False Views, which come with Greed, Hatred, Arrogance and Doubt :

Driven by delusions, sensations, and impulsive desires, sentient beings relentlessly pursue the illusory pleasures born of craving. At the heart of these pursuits lies false views, ignorance, and delusion, arising from erroneous conditioning. Guided by these distorted perceptions, beings are ensnared by the afflictions of greed, hatred, delusion, arrogance, and doubt. These afflictions, fueled by the desire to satisfy their conditioned views, inevitably lead to suffering and frustration, as reality fails to conform to their expectations.

They gain various sufferings via costing them dear:

With their own wealth, purity, and freedom, beings purchase suffering. For instance, they indulge in dietary preferences that lead to nutritional imbalances, causing various ailments. By acquiring expensive animal-derived products, they create karmic connections with these animals. The pursuit of luxurious dwellings exposes them to harmful substances, hastening their demise. They misuse their pure nature by becoming entangled in defiled and craving-driven perceptions, accumulating further defilements. In their pursuit of material comforts, they contradict the teachings of the wise and the Three Jewels, enduring hardships and ultimately sacrificing their lives. They abandon their innate, perfect freedom and miraculous powers.

False Views etc. keep living beings running without a stop:

Fueled by the afflictions of greed, hatred, delusion, arrogance, and doubt, these false views propel one into a frenzied state of mind. In this state, thoughts leap instantaneously across time and space, and one’s speech and actions become uncontrolled, leading to self-destruction and ruin.

When they arise an intention, the evil-grasping mind comes first:

All thoughts of sentient beings arise from conditioning, being inherently tainted with sin, evil, and defilements. These defilements are the result of ceaseless mental exertion, solidifying into deeply ingrained habitual patterns. Due to the continuity of these mental formations, the world appears to be continuous, and beings remain trapped in the dreamlike state of samsara, unable to awaken. Dharmas abide in their own nature, and worldly phenomena appear to be permanent.

Such False Views etc. induce them to eat, drink and have fun day after day:

These defilements arise first, instigating sentient beings to engage in greed, hatred, delusion, arrogance, doubt, and discursive thinking. Day after day, they entice beings into sensual pleasures and the creation of various negative karmas.

While living beings deem such False Thinking, Feelings and Impulses themselves:

These delusions, sensations, and impulses are, in essence, demonic. Yet, sentient beings mistakenly identify with them as their true selves, unaware of their illusory nature. They regard these phenomena as their masters, blindly following and serving them.

In Reality, as to the Feeling, it is an illusion:

These sensations are but phantoms, and all phantoms are mere sensations. Sentient beings perceive the six sense objects through their six sense organs, and then, based on their own cognitive faculties, they label these perceptions as good or bad. However, these labels are merely the result of conditioning, illusory projections arising from the karmic imprints of past lives. Sensations are the fruits of past actions, while actions are the results of past intentions. Conditioning is the cause, and mental formations are the effect; actions are the cause, and their consequences are the effect. Ultimately, all phenomena reduce to mere sensations.

To the False Thinking, it is a dust from memory:

The mind’s incessant wandering, filled with discursive thoughts and memories, is merely a fabrication of fragmented memories. Sentient beings, unaware of this, mistakenly believe these thoughts to be real. Without memory, what else could one think about? This fabrication, driven by delusion, serves no beneficial purpose, but instead leads to harm. Impulses, on the other hand, are a primal force that cannot be easily controlled. They arise in conjunction with greed, hatred, delusion, arrogance, and doubt, fueled by past conditioning, the compulsive force of afflictions, and the inherent potential of one’s nature. The direction of these impulses is determined by the specific afflictions that arise.
