1.2.2 Why Chase the Five Desires?

“Such kind of living beings are occupied by False Views, which come with Greed, Hatred, Arrogance and Doubt.”

What exactly can make you believe in delusions, follow sensations, and rely on impulses, can confidently. What the hell are those?

It has a master, and that master is what? It’s an evil view.

So what is an evil view? Just the wrong view that you have cultivated. An evil view is a cultivated wrong view. With this cultivated wrong view as its leader.

It then brings along its subordinates. Because of wrong views, it goes towards greed, which is something it has actually cultivated. Going against its wrong view, it goes towards anger. In order to elevate oneself, it’s still a wrong view, that is arrogance. Being suspicious all day long, it all revolves around evil views. There can only be suspicion with evil views, and there can only be arrogance with evil views.

With wrong views, it thinks this is good. With wrong views, it only engages in greed and anger. Since it’s actually wrong, it cannot have good results. Its results will definitely be wrong.
